HERTZ CAR HIRE FROM AIRPORTS IN THE BENELUX REGION
|
|
The Benelux Airports
|
Benelux
is a term used to describe collectively the
three neighbouring European countries of Belgium,
the Netherlands and Luxembourg. The term is
derived from the first letters of each country's
name (BElgium, NEtherlands, LUXembourg) and
constitutes both formal institutions and a
collective description of the three member
countries. There are a number of Benelux organisations
which include political, legal, commercial
and socio-economic treaties which are designed
to improve consistency of laws and free-flow
of trade and workers between the three member
states. For the purposes of this website the
term Benelux is used to describe the geographical
area made up of the three countries Belgium,
the Netherlands and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

There are a number of international airports
in the region, all of which benefit from having
Hertz car hire offices. By far the largest
of these is Amsterdam's Schiphol in the Netherlands.
Schiphol Airport handles over 47 million passengers
each year which makes it the 5th busiest in
Europe and 14th in the World for overall passenger
traffic. The next busiest airport in the Benelux
region is Brussels Airport (Zaventem) in Belgium
with over 18 million passengers each year.
These are followed by Brussels Charleroi (nearly
3 million), Luxembourg's Findel (1.7 million)
and Eindhoven in the Netherlands (1.6 million).
The other main airports in the Benelux region
featured on this website are Antwerp and Rotterdam.

For passengers arriving at airports in the
Benelux region, their first priority is often
transport. Hertz have offices at all the main
airports in the region which are usually conveniently
located in or near the Arrivals area. There
are vehicles on offer to suit everyone. Models
available range from small economy 3 door
hatchbacks to luxury saloons and 7-seater
people-carriers. Hertz airport offices also
provide a range of other vehicles including
convertibles, 4 x 4 SUVs, commercial vehicles
and automatics. Hire cars can be booked in
advance online which saves time at the airport
and helps ensure customers obtain their vehicle
of choice. We provide IATA airport codes to
assist in Hertz reservations and quotations
and these are shown in the airport lists below. |
