 Eindhoven
Airport is the second largest airport in the
Netherlands behind Amsterdam's Schiphol. However
it is perhaps worth noting that Eindhoven's
yearly passenger figures are far lower than
those of Schiphol with only 1.6 million per
year compared to Schiphol's 47 million. The
airport is located on the western edge of
Eindhoven about 5 miles from the city centre.
Road communications between the airport and
Eindhoven are excellent and provided by the
adjacent A2 Motorway which also provides a
direct route to Utrecht and Amsterdam to the
north. Hertz provide car hire services from

Like Rotterdam (the Netherlands other secondary
airport), Eindhoven Airport has enjoyed a
surge in passenger numbers in the last few
years due, in part, to the opening up of routes
to the rest of Europe by budget airlines such
as Ryanair and Wizz Air. These airlines have
favoured Eindhoven due to its more competitive
landing fees without any loss in quality of
service.
Eindhoven Airport has one main terminal which
provides a range of services for the traveller
